The 34th Scientific Conference of the Association of Marine Laboratories of the Caribbean (AMLC) will be hosted by the Institute for Tropical Marine Ecology (ITME) in Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica. The AMLC Scientific Conference is held every 2 years and is attended by international scientists, managers, professionals, and students whose interest is focused on marine resources and the related issues relevant to the greater Caribbean region.

This meeting seeks to serve as platform to initiate and facilitate the expansion of regional and interdisciplinary collaborations throughout the Caribbean. We welcome submissions relating to marine science in the Greater Caribbean region, including coral reef ecology, pelagic fisheries, oceanography, climate change, and other relevant disciplines.

Contributions on the following topics are encouraged:

Ecology/Biology (ecology, behavior, reproduction, diseases in marine organisms, invasive organisms, food web dynamics, reef resilience, deep coral reefs, species inventories and range extensions, habitat mapping)

Connectivity (habitat linkages, between coral reefs, sea grasses, mangroves and other ecosystems, larval distribution, spawning aggregations, land-sea interactions, biological oceanography

Global and Regional Issues (global warming, regional patterns of coral bleaching and disease/syndrome manifestations, physical oceanography, remote sensing, natural disturbances, pollution, sedimentation)

Resource Management (MPAs, ecosystem approaches to coastal management, fisheries, aquaculture, conservation, monitoring and assessment, social economics, public awareness)

Other topics will be considered subject to session time limitations. Please take note of the time scheduled for abstract submissions, early and late registration, and hotel reservations.
