Cenotes Dive Trip

The AMLC has made arrangements with the local dive shop Yucatán Dive Center for a dive trip in a Cenote.

From the Yucatán Dive Center:
Entering the magic world of the cenotes is to re-live the wonderful reflection of evolution, history, nature and ancient Mayan culture. It is an unforgettable experience immersed in the transparency of its blue waters full of light and shade. Cenotes are living ecosystems that have accompanied the inhabitants of the Yucatán Peninsula throughout its history. Come and share with us these natural wonders.

The trip will include two dives, one each at two different Cenotes, based on your diving certification:

  • Tour 1 (Open water diver certified and first time diving on cenotes) Cenote Nohmozon and Cenote Nayah.
  • Tour 2 (Advanced Open water diver or more, cavern diving)  Cenotes Kankirixche and Cenote Yaal Utzil.

Place and Time to Meet: Pick up at hotels located in the downtown area of Mérida between 8:00 to 9:00 am.

Cost: $130.00 USD per diver, $80.00 USD per snorkeler
The cost includes diving or snorkeling equipment (we recommend bringing your own mask, fins, wetsuit, & dive computer), transportation, Cenotes entrance fees, lunch, water and soft drinks, surface support, certified diving guide, & a commemorative t-shirt.

Participant Limits: 20 scuba divers and 20 snorkellers.
